MP3 samples - all clips are in mp3 format @ 96 kbps

Backwards Password Institute - "Enter", six-song EP recorded October - November 2000.  Released February 2001.

"Stalemate" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(Two sections of my favorite recorded song, period.  Listen to the unison line on #2 to see why)

"If I Could" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(Any bassist has to love a band that lets him start off a song with an upper-range melody line - #1.  If you listen closely at #2, you can hear my two-handed tapping line - high chording from the right hand plus a descending bassline with the left)

"Freewill" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(This line actually makes me believe I have "the funk."  #2 is just a nice little riff that helps move the climax of the song)

"Soft Woman" - Sample
(I learned this the day before the recording session, and played it of a chart with many a punch-in.  Not bad, considering walking lines are hardly my forté)

"I Will Smile" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(A perfect example of how dynamics are used to perfection in a song.  #1 is the prechorus/chorus, and #2 is an excerpt from the guitar solo)

"Stennar - Live In The Studio" - recorded direct to 2-track DAT, Decemmber 12th, 1999

"Beast of Burden" (The Rolling Stones) - Sample
(What happens when you mix electronic backing tracks and a classic rock song?  This.  Surprisingly easy to groove to, considering the rigidness of the tracks)

"I Want It All" (Queen) - Sample #1, Sample #2, Sample #3
(This was a great song to cover, as we (the live band) really got to make it darker than the original.  #1 is the intro featuring a bassline with harmonics, #2 is the mid-song breakdown, and #3 is part of the outro guitar solo)

"Shakytown" - Sample
(A Stennar original, the live band gave this a much harder edge than the CD version.  You can almost feel the Metallica in my fills)

"Wish" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(Think of a torchsong from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly."  I would have loved to record this with a fretless, but I think I adapted it pretty well.  #1 is from the chorus, and #2 is the outro - some of my "prettier" fills lie here)

"Vigilant" - Sample #1, Sample #2
(Another one of Stennar's trademark electro-techno-rockers... made even harder by the inclusion of the live band.  #1 is the bridge between the verses, and #2 is the outro breakdown with a nice drum and bass break between Evan and I)

"What You Don't Know" - Sample
(Dancehall groove with gospel vocals and a nice bass fill at the end)

Stennar Studio tracks - recorded March - August 2000.  WWeb-released Fall 2000.

"Do Something" - Sample
(A euro-dancehall sound with multitracked vocals and a very keyboard-esque guitar track by Adam)

"What You Don't Know" - Sample
(Much more electronic than the live version, with the infamous "disco octave" run)

"Still Want" - Sample
(Another dance number, but with a heavy guitar chorus added by Adam and myself.  I love the transition from clean funk rhythm to overtracked heavy guitars on this)

"Vigilant" -> Sample #1, Sample #2
(A slightly different arrangement from the live version led to a much tighter song in this case.  #1 is the tightened verse, and #2 the chorus)

Current and Past Musical Project - What I've done, who I've done it with, and how it turned out.

My Equipment - For good or bad, I use these to make various noises.

Samples - Clips of recordings I've been a part of in mp3 format.  Not too shabby, if I say so myself.

Trades - You like live shows of the Dream Theaater/Nine Inch Nails/various others variety?  Stop in and we'll work something out.

Concerts - Shows I've attended.  All of theem.  I could have seen 4 in the time taken to compile this.
