QUOTES AND TESTIMONIALS

"Ian himself is a fine bassist..." - Bryan Beller, LA / Nashville-based bassist / songwriter known for his work in the studio and on the road with such artists as Mike Keneally, Steve Vai, James LaBrie (Dream Theater), Kevin Gilbert, Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa, and Wayne Kramer (MC5) among others

"..It was nice to hear something interesting completely by surprise, and without the ensuing burden of  '...and tell me what you think...' - Sean Malone, Bassist, Chapman Stickist, and principle songwriter for the "Gordian Knot" self-titled and "Emergent" collaboration projects and "Cortlandt" solo release as well as prog-rock supergroup O.S.I., Cynic, Aghora, Spiral Architect, Working Man: A Tribute To Rush, solo artist John Wesley, as well as author of two bass instructional books and instructor of Music Theory at the University of Oregon.

"Ian Perge is a top notch bassist who is incredibly talented and enjoyable to work with, both in studio and stage settings.  He always comes to gigs prepared and knowing all of his music by memory. Ian never fails to put his personal touch on a track.  In addition, I've never seen him need more than two takes to get his best performance on tape. Besides, his midget jokes are hilarious!" - Adam Parness, NYC producer, session guitarist and studio owner.

"Ian is great to work with, and I loved the way the he was able to improvise on any musical idea that we were working with." - NYC artist Stennar.

"Ian Perge is one of the most musical bassists I know (and one of the shortest.)  He brings a certain interesting flavor to his bass lines that's hard to find in other short bass players.  Seriously though - he's not only musical but he's also an awesome guy" - Scott Ferreira, Guitarist, Backwards Password Institute.

Comments on the "Enter" CD by Backward Password Institute...
"The bass playing is excellent... the bass tone is great, and it fits the style of the CD like a glove. I was more entertained by the bass lines than any other element of the CD. Very professional sounding bass work. I honestly think the bass lines are mainly what was able to hold my interest" - "Demented" Dave, professional bassist and former professional Internet Radio owner/DJ for Digital Dementia/Dementia Radio.com.

"Fucking good work, you're the shit! I let Reuben (Guitarist - BoB) listen to it a little before he left for LA and we decided that you kick! Nice work, Ian!" - Noelle Perriera, drummer/webmaster for BoB and owner of Hebdomas Arts.

"You're an honest-to-god musician, not a cripple's cripple, a hardwired New Yorker, and a genuinely nice guy" - Alejandra Ospina.

"For a boy, Ian Perge is quite the angry chick!" - Elizabeth McKeever - Random angry chick/trusted confidant. (Okay, I know what you’re thinking – “This has nothing to do with the man’s ability as a bassist!”  I agree, but would you pass up a quote like that?  Hell, it’s going on my business cards.)
